SMS Consent & Messaging Policy

Sandy communicates with you via text message (iMessage and SMS). This page explains how messaging works, what you're consenting to when you text Sandy, and how to opt out.

How You Opt In

You opt in to receive messages from Sandy by initiating a text message conversation with Sandy. Sandy never sends the first message โ€” you always text Sandy first. By sending your first message to Sandy, you consent to receive text messages from Sandy related to your family's tasks, appointments, reminders, and account.

By texting Sandy at (415) 629-0851, you consent to:

Receiving text messages from Sandy related to task management, appointment scheduling, calendar updates, morning briefings, reminders, provider communications, and account notifications (trial expiration, billing).

Message frequency varies based on your usage. Sandy sends messages in response to your requests and proactive reminders for upcoming appointments and tasks.

Message and data rates may apply. Sandy's messaging service is not charged per-message, but your carrier may charge standard messaging rates.

Types of Messages Sandy Sends

Conversational messages: Responses to your requests โ€” scheduling updates, task confirmations, provider communication results, and answers to your questions.

Proactive reminders: Morning briefings, upcoming appointment reminders, provider follow-up notifications, and deadline warnings. You can control these by texting Sandy "turn off morning briefings" or similar requests.

Account messages: Trial expiration notices, subscription confirmations, and important service updates. These are infrequent and only sent when necessary.

Sandy does not send marketing messages, promotional offers, or advertising. Sandy does not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving messages from Sandy at any time by texting STOP to Sandy's number. Sandy will confirm your opt-out and stop sending messages. You can also email hello@heysandy.ai to request removal.

If you opt out, Sandy will no longer be able to send you task updates, reminders, or any other messages. Your account data will be retained for 30 days in case you want to reactivate.

Provider Messaging

When Sandy contacts service providers on your behalf (via SMS), Sandy identifies herself and explains that she is reaching out on behalf of your family. Providers can opt out of Sandy's messages by replying STOP. Sandy respects all opt-out requests from providers.

Messaging Carriers

Sandy uses Sendblue for iMessage delivery and Twilio for SMS delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier network availability.
