Sandy is a product of Mr Roboto LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Palo Alto, California. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Sandy, our SMS-based family task assistant.
We built Sandy to help families get things done. We take your privacy seriously because Sandy handles personal information about your family, your schedules, and your service providers.
Information you provide via text message: When you text Sandy, we receive and store your messages, phone number, and any information you share — including family member names, provider names and phone numbers, appointment details, and calendar information.
Information from connected services: If you connect your Google Calendar, we access calendar events to help with scheduling and conflict detection. We only access the scopes you explicitly authorize.
Information from providers: When Sandy contacts service providers on your behalf (dentists, tutors, salons, etc.), responses from those providers are stored as part of your task history.
Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how Sandy is used — message counts, task types, response times — to improve the service. We do not track you across the web or use advertising trackers.
We use your information exclusively to operate Sandy and improve the service. Specifically, we use it to process your requests and complete tasks, coordinate with service providers on your behalf, manage your family calendar, send reminders and proactive updates, and improve Sandy's ability to understand and execute family tasks.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with advertisers. We do not use your family's information to build advertising profiles.
Sandy uses artificial intelligence (specifically, large language models provided by Anthropic) to understand your messages and coordinate tasks. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API data to train their models. Your conversations are processed in real-time and are not retained by Anthropic beyond the immediate API call.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Google Calendar OAuth tokens are encrypted with application-level encryption. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days to allow for reactivation, then delete it.
Sandy uses the following third-party services to operate:
Sendblue — for iMessage delivery to family members. Twilio — for SMS delivery to service providers. Anthropic — for AI processing of messages. Google — for Calendar integration (when authorized). Supabase — for secure data storage. Stripe — for subscription billing.
Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We select partners who meet our security standards and do not use your data for advertising.
You can request a copy of all data Sandy holds about your family by texting Sandy or emailing us. You can request deletion of your data at any time. You can disconnect Google Calendar access at any time through your Google account settings. You can stop using Sandy at any time by simply not texting — we will never send unsolicited messages to non-users.
Sandy is designed to be used by parents and adult family members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If Sandy stores a child's name or appointment information, it is because a parent provided that information as part of family task management.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt out of the sale of your data. Since we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of.
We may update this policy as Sandy evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via text message through Sandy. Continued use of Sandy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
